Fresh Paint 4 / 2011

Fresh Paint 4 was held at the Botanic Garden site in Tel Aviv in April  2011. 29 contemporary art galleries and some 50 independent artists took part in the fair, which drew a crowd of more than 30,000 visitors.

Nivi Alroy, winner of Fresh Paint 3's Most Promising Artist award, had a solo exhibition at the fair, curated by Tami Katz-Freiman. The Igal Ahouvi Art Collection awarded the Most Promising Artist award for 2011 to Natalia Zourabova. Ido Abramson's work “Welcome to Lebanon #1” won Sotheby's Under the Hammer award and was sold later in the year at the annual auction of Israeli art in New York.

The Secret Postcard project sold about 900 postcards and raised 160,000 NIS for outstanding students in the Tel Aviv Museum of Art's Meyerhoff Art Education Center program. 

Ten winning tin-box designs, by the best young designers, illustrators and artists, uniquely created as part of the "Latzet Mehakufsa ("Getting out of the Box") community project, were sold at Fresh Paint 4, for the first time. Over 3,000 boxes were sold and 100,000 NIS were raised.

Exhibited at the fair were special projects and commissioned works by artists Rani Sasson, Khen Shish, Keren Irmer and Uriel Miron, Andreas Golinski, Edith Kollath, Guy Ben Ari, Ido Shemi, and an artists' collaboration initiated by Orly Maiberg: 'Workplace' by Orly Maiberg, Zoya Cherkassky, Shachar Golan- Sarig, Yochai Matos and Doron Solomons

The Fresh Paint Salon, supported by Outset contemporary art fund, was open to the public throughout the fair and offered a program of lectures and discussions with curators and artists. Children's workshops were offered in collaboration with The Tel Aviv Museum of Art and the Reuven Rubin Museum.
