The Center for Contemporary Art (a nonprofit organization) was founded in 1997 to promote contemporary art disciplines with an emphasis on time-based practices such as video art, performance, sound etc. The Center for Contemporary Art has organized seven International Performance Art Biennials (Blurrr 1 - 7), and five International Video Art Biennial (VideoZone 1-5). Besides, each year The Center is engaged in the production of 6 exhibitions (group and solo shows) of Israeli and international artists, young and senior. All exhibitions are accompanied with a catalogue. In addition to these activities, The Center initiated The Fund for Video Art and Experimental Cinema in Israel (with the support of the Israeli Film Council), which supports Israeli artists in producing new works. In an effort to expand its activities and raise more funds for new productions, more catalogues and support for artists, The Center for Contemporary Art decided to hold a big fundraising event which will be held in 2 channels: one, a Quiet Auction of unique works by leading artists from Israel and abroad; and the second, a Raffle of about 50 artworks in various mediums, donated to The Center by a selection of fine artists.
