Ronny Carny carries out an ongoing dialogue with walls, and with early 20th century Modernist artists. She is interested in the intersection of design and art and examines it through her notions of the sublime.

In the conception of this piece, Carny was led by two main concepts – infrastructure and tradition; the painting attempts to escape its primary platform and expand.
