ISRAEL UNLIMITED – FRIENDING / Fresh Paint 11 / Project
This unique exhibit is the initiative of ISRAEL UNLIMITED – FRIENDING , which is a strategic partnership of JDC Israel, the government of Israel, the Ruderman Family Foundation, and the Ted Arison Family Foundation.
The FREINDING program brought together people with disabilities, with third-and fourth-year students in Bezalel Visual Communication Department into a creative process aiming to shed light on the loneliness of people with disabilities.
In recent decades, loneliness has turned into a universal phenomenon. However, people with disabilities experience additional aspects of loneliness as result of inaccessibility, reliance on care systems, lack of opportunities, prejudice, and intentional exclusion.
Through the innovative medium of motion posters, the exhibition creatorsdemonstrate how people, withandwithout disabilities, are first and foremost human beings who wish to overcome communication barriers, develop acareer, and foster friendships, love, and intimacy.
"Together, all our amazing qualities come out–it's a pity to miss all that!"
