The Center for Contemporary Art was founded in 1997 to promote contemporary art. The Center has produced 6 exhibitions of Israeli and international artists (group and solo shows) every year. In addition the Center initiated The Fund for Video Art and Experimental Cinema (with the support of the Israeli Film Council), which supports the production of new works. The Fund is expected to close next year due to changes made by the Film Council.
Visitors to Fresh Paint were abled to select works from the Fund archive to be screened at the CCA exhibition space a Juke Box containing 100 works produced by the Fund.
In addition, a special sale of unique limited editions by Israeli artists were held, in an effort to expand the CCA activities and raise more funds for new productions.
