The project was conceived via contemplation of the place in which artists practice their art.
In the studio the artist is very much his artwork. He is the materials from which it is made. As long as the artist and the work struggle for the intentions, trials, errors, quandaries; for the stain, the color, the form - they are inseparable. We are so very much our workplace, that we - five artists - decided to go out briefly to observe it from the side. Had the specific site of Fresh Paint 4 (5 days, 140 sq. m.) been our workplace, this is how each of us would have sustained his place within it.
